Each camp out is planned by a team of hosts who coordinate the meals and activities - activities range from visiting around a campfire to, pot luck dinners, playing cards and games, theme nights, lawn games, cook-offs, touring local attractions and everything in between. Sometimes our camp outs are very laid back, and sometimes they are busy. We like variety.
We are also a working chapter, actively fund-raising to support the Good Sam charities which are Ronald McDonald House, Fisher House (which is similar to Ronald McDonald House for military families), and Dogs for the Deaf. Our major fund raisers include serving breakfast and lunch at State Meetings, an occasional garage sale, holiday gift wrapping at Ranch & Home, dealing cards for Lions’ Club casino nights, handmade crafts and other smaller miscellaneous projects throughout the year. Support of our charities is a large part of who we are. It is some work, but we still manage to have fun and enjoy each other while supporting what we believe are very worthwhile organizations.
Our chapter is a very close-knit group and we consider ourselves friends as well as members. In addition to our camping and fund-raising activities, we meet for breakfast each week on Thursday mornings at the Denny's on Highway 395 in Kennewick to socialize.
We invite you join us for breakfast or a camp out - this is a good way to meet some of the members and get a feeling for the group. If you would like to join us, call the number below for details. This is a brief overview of who we are as a chapter, but meeting us in person will give you the best idea.
Thank you for your interest in Three Rivers Sams. If there is any other specific information that you would like or any questions that you may have about who we are and what we do, please do not hesitate to use the “Contact Us” page or call
